Workers' Party Congress

On November 2, 1970, North Korea issued a mini-sheet with 10 different stamps commemorating the 5th Korean Workers’ Party Congress. The stamp on the bottom right had “SU” instead of “US” erroneously printed on the uniform of the maltreated soldier. Fearing Soviet Union aggravation, the stamp was removed from all mini-sheetlets still in possession before they were sold.
