The Austrian Post intended to issue a stamp commemorating Great Britain’s exit of the EU, called the Brexit. The Brexit date was originally fixed for March, 29, 2019, the day on which the stamp was due for issue. The Brexit however was delayed and took place on January 31, 2020. Therefore was the stamp not issued on March 29, 2019, but the inscripted date was invalidated with a strikethrough. The new date was also printed on the stamp and the issue of the stamp took place on January 31, 2020.
