The success of the Croatian Football Team in the preliminary round of the Football World Cup 2018 inspired the Croatian Post to issue a meter mark on July 1, 2018. The core message of the meter mark read “BRAVO VATRENI ! / IDEMO DALJE !” translating to “Bravo Vatreni ! Let’s move on !”. “Vatreni” is the colloquial name of the Croatian National Football Team. The meter mark was withdrawn after 4 hours. Apparently there was no consent from the Croatian Football Association (HNS = Hrvatski nogomentni savez) which would have authorised the usage of the name “Vatreni”.
