In 2014, the Egypt Postal Authorities issued a strip of 3 stamps commemorating the planned extension of the Suez Canal. The center stamp, however, showed the water gates of the Panama Canal. The stamps where withdrawn after a few days. A corrected replacement issue was launched later that year.
