On May 9, 2005, on the occasion of 40 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries, a joint issue was to appear. However, since there were reservations on the Israeli side about the design, due to a lack of reference to the Holocaust, the date could not be kept. The stamps were then issued on November 3, 2005, with symbolic barbed wire in the middle. There was also a joint issue in 2015 to mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations.

First day cover with German stamp. The imprint of the decorative cover with “גֶרמָנִיָה”, Hebrew was supposed to stand for “Germany”, but “גֶדמָנִיָה” would be correct, i.e. the second letter (from the left) is wrong.
