Christmas Bulb
The German Post intended to issue a Christmas stamp on November 2, 2016. The stamp nicknamed “Christmas bulb” steming from its cliché, had the slogan “Merry Christmas” imprinted in various languages. But both the Danish and the Dutch phrases had spelling errors, “Glædelig Jul” should have read “Glædelig jul” and “Vrolijk Kerstfest” should have read “Vrolijk kerstfeest”. Since the errors were found in time, a corrected reprint was made and the stamps got issued on November 30, 2016.

The Christmas stamp 2016 was intended for issue on November 2, 2016. The city of Bodenmais planned a matching postmark for that day. Due to the fact that the stamp issued was delayed (November 30, 2016), the postmark was used only on December 3, 2016.
