On October 16, 1989, a set of stamps on the theme "Native Birds" was issued in Ghana. Two of the stamps at 60 C(edi) and 80 C(edi) face value respectively, each had the Latin bird name reversed. The Lesser Kingfisher was given the Latin name "Ispidina picta" and the Blue-breasted Kingfisher was given the name "Halcyon milimbica". Corrected stamps were issued in June 1990.
