In 2018, India and South Africa planned a joint issue in the form of a sheetlet with two stamps celebrating "20 years of strategic partnership". The two sheetlets were printed in India. While the Indian sheetlet was issued on June 7, 2018, South Africa was not satisfied with the quality of the sheetlets supplied, thus the South African sheetlet remained unissued.
