On June 17, 1994, Indonesia issued stamps and a sheetlet commemorating the 1994 World Cup (USA). In parallel an official FDC was issued with 20000 copies. The imprint of the FDC featured, amongst others, the logo of the World Cup but in inverse coloring.

The football was colored red while the curvy background strips were printed in blue. The FDCs were withdrawn during the day of issue, by then allegedly 1000 copies have been sold, while the rest was destroyed. A corrected FDC was issued which was postmarked with the day of issue date.
