On March 4, 2011, Macedonia issued a stamp commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the first man in space, relating to the Russian astronaut Yuri Gagarin. The stamp was withdrawn on November 18, 2011, allegedly due to Russian protests relating to the “American” outfit of the astronaut featured on the stamp
