On the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, a souvenir sheet was issued on September 2, 1996 with 4 stamps diagonally interspersed with the flag of the Republic in the background. The order of the colors of the horizontal stripes were diagonally mirrored, namely yellow-blue-red, instead of red-blue-yellow. The error was noticed too late and after 6 weeks a corrected souvenir sheet was also is-sued, but the issue date of September 2, 1996 was also assigned to it.
