On April 16, 2010, the Philippines issued a stamp as part of the definitive series „Philippine Biodiversity“, featuring a sea slug with the latin name Cyerce nigricans. The common name was also imprinted as „Sea Hare“. However, the sea slug on the stamp is called „Sacoglossan Sea Slug“. Therefore the stamp was withdrawn and replaced by a new stamp issue on October 22, 2010.
