On December 12, 1952, two stamps with identical images were issued featuring the Zeran (a suburb of Warsaw) auto assembly plant as part of stamps representing the industrialization of Poland. The stamps show a mechanic fitting a tire to a car. The stamp designer Czeslaw Slania (1921-2005) has immortalized himself in the stamp as the mechanic in question.
