The overprint blackenings (Saxon blackenings) available at the Regional Post Office Administration (OPD) Leipzig were no longer brought to the counters due to the general ban on the use of such stamps. The ban arrived too late in Holzhausen and Zwenkau, so that corresponding stamps went on sale there on August 3, 1945 in the morning hours.
