On March 19, 2016 Transnistria (PMR) issued a sheetlet on the theme "Prehistoric animals". One stamp was dedicated to Giganotosaurus, but on the stamp was written in English and Russian "Gigantosaurus" and “гигантозавр” respectively.
Because of this error, a new edition was printed and issued on June 25, 2016, correctly stating “Giganotosaurus" or "гиганотозавр".
