In 1987, the Minnesota Twins won the World Championship Baseball Games, the US Baseball championship. The final was played in the Minnesota Twins’ home stadium, the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome. The US postal services issued a special cancellation commemorating the event. The cancellation featured parts of the Team logo of the Minnesota Twins. Apparently it was missed to seek permission to use the logo and therefore the Baseball League protested the copyright violation. In consequence the special cancellation was withdrawn.
